Electric Vehicles Charging - Draft Strategy Consultation
Have your say on South Gloucestershire’s new draft strategy for ‘Electric Vehicle Charging'
This consultation has now closed
We are seeking your views on South Gloucestershire Council’s draft Electric Vehicle Charging Strategy.
The aim of the strategy is to establish our role in ensuring that our residents and visitors who need to drive cars – where cycling, walking or public transport is not practicable - are supported to do so in zero emission vehicles.
Our vision
This strategy sets out our ambitions for the provision of electric vehicle charging infrastructure in South Gloucestershire, ahead of the phase out of new petrol and diesel cars by 2030.
We intend to ensure the vast majority of households in South Gloucestershire are within one mile of reliable and accessible charging infrastructure.
What this means
By putting this strategy into action, we aim to:
- Enhance social equity
- Improved air quality
- Tackle the Climate Emergency
- Support sustainable economic development
- Lead by example

Marking a consultation as relevant to a particular audience indicates that it may be of special relevance to people within that group. It doesn't, however, mean that other groups wont find the consultation of interest - we welcome responses from everybody.
For example, education issues may be of particular interest to Parents & Guardians, and so will be shown to people searching the system for parenting issues, but the views of others (eg: Business, Faith Groups) are also relevant. |
