Emersons Green Library Engagement

Share your ideas for our new children’s library and innovation space at Emersons Green

Emersons Green and Lyde Green are growing, developing communities and we have funding to develop the library to offer even more to the residents.

We need your help to understand how we can best deliver the things we need.

Tell us what you would like to see in the library and help us to understand how we can make the library work for you. You can see the plans for the extensions to the current library with the extensions highlighted. What we want to hear from you is what you would like to see in these spaces and how they are used. There are two areas that we want to develop – the children’s area and an innovation space where people can work, make and experiment.

Plans for the new library

Plans for the new library building extensions can be seen on the display boards in the library.

You can view these plans by clicking this link.

These are fixed by the design of the original building, the available space, the budget we have and what it can be used for.

What isn't fixed is what we put in these spaces and how they are used. We are looking at developing two particular areas - the children's areas and an innovation space.

Marking a consultation as relevant to a particular audience indicates that it may be of special relevance to people within that group. It doesn't, however, mean that other groups wont find the consultation of interest - we welcome responses from everybody.
For example, education issues may be of particular interest to Parents & Guardians, and so will be shown to people searching the system for parenting issues, but the views of others (eg: Business, Faith Groups) are also relevant.
