The Council proposes to make an order that will:

a)      set the car parking charge for Parkway North and Yate Park and Ride car parks as set out in Schedule 1 to this notice.  All other car parks are free to use;

 b)      standardise stay length and return times across all South Gloucestershire Council car parks.  Each car park is subject to a maximum time period for which a vehicle may stay in a parking place.  These are set out in Schedule 2 to this notice;

 c)      standardise stay length for electric vehicles when connected via a lead to a charge point and charging.  Short stay car park – 4 hours and Long stay car park – in line with motor cars;

d)      increase the motor car weight limit to 3000kg; and

e)      revoke the South Gloucestershire Council (Off Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2019 in favour of the provisions specified in items a) to d) above.

Full details of the proposals are contained in the draft order. If you would like to see a copy of the draft order and a statement of the Council's reasons for making the order, you may do so by viewing the documents section of this consultation.

Marking a consultation as relevant to a particular audience indicates that it may be of special relevance to people within that group. It doesn't, however, mean that other groups wont find the consultation of interest - we welcome responses from everybody.
For example, education issues may be of particular interest to Parents & Guardians, and so will be shown to people searching the system for parenting issues, but the views of others (eg: Business, Faith Groups) are also relevant.
