Proposed extension of Siston Parish Council Boundary

We recently agreed to create a number of new councils to ensure that all communities have the benefit of local parish representation. In order to complete this process, we are now proposing to move the remaining unparished area in to the Siston Parish Council area. We consider that this change would make community governance arrangements more efficient and ensure that the residents of remaining unparished area will benefit from effective local representation at the parish level.

Before making a decision, we sought the views of local people on two options:

Option 1: amend the Siston Parish Council boundary to ensure to cover the remaining unparished area. This would mean that the electors in the unparished area would be represented by councillors from Siston Parish Council.

Option 2: no change to the current arrangements.

This consultation has now closed and we are analysing the results, which will be published here in due course.

Marking a consultation as relevant to a particular audience indicates that it may be of special relevance to people within that group. It doesn't, however, mean that other groups wont find the consultation of interest - we welcome responses from everybody.
For example, education issues may be of particular interest to Parents & Guardians, and so will be shown to people searching the system for parenting issues, but the views of others (eg: Business, Faith Groups) are also relevant.
