Yate Masterplan
Yate Town Improvement Masterplan Public Consultation
'A plan for Yate to flourish and prosper'
Have your say on the future of Yate
South Gloucestershire Council, along with our partners, are in the process of developing a masterplan for Yate, which will set out the long-term vision for the town.
In autumn 2020, we held a six-week engagement period to seek your views on the emerging vision for Yate. Since then, we have been working on more detailed options for the masterplan and we held a series of workshops with key stakeholders in February 2021.
We are now running a 12-week public consultation on our proposals for the masterplan.
We want to hear your views and suggestions for improving Yate by Monday 13 September.
How to let us know your views and suggestions
For more information on the draft masterplan, please visit the Yate Town Improvement Masterplan website at Yatefuture.com
Here you can explore Yate with our Interactive Map which enables you to comment on our vision for the town and the four focus areas: Town Centre, Railway Station and Surrounds, Industrial Estate and Station Road.
There is also a consultation summary brochure to read through and response form for you to complete. The Initial Equalities Impact Assessment Appraisal for the project can also be reviewed.
If you have a question, comment or suggestion, you can get in touch with the team, including requesting printed copies of the consultation brochure and feedback form, by emailing feedback@yatefuture.com or completing the ‘get in touch’ form at yatefuture.com.
Printed brochures and feedback forms will be available at the following locations from the 28 June:
- Yate One Stop Shop, Kennedy Way
- One Stop, Wellington Road
- Yate Library, Yate Shopping Centre
Additional collection points throughout Yate will be listed on the dedicated masterplan website at yatefuture.com.

Marking a consultation as relevant to a particular audience indicates that it may be of special relevance to people within that group. It doesn't, however, mean that other groups wont find the consultation of interest - we welcome responses from everybody.
For example, education issues may be of particular interest to Parents & Guardians, and so will be shown to people searching the system for parenting issues, but the views of others (eg: Business, Faith Groups) are also relevant. |
