A38 ALVESTON - Bus Stop Improvements - 2nd Consultation
Concerns have been raised by disabled users regarding the accessibility of the Alveston Church bus stops on the A38. The northbound bus stop was recently upgraded to provide level access as part of the Better Bus 2 project. Funding has since become available to upgrade the southbound bus stop and improve the accessibility of the bus stops through minor crossing improvements outside Alveston Church.
An initial consultation took place between the 4th February and 25th February 2019. Based on feedback from the initial consultation, the decision was made to propose a second site for the relocated bus stop. The proposed second site is subject to the results of this consultation.
Purpose of Scheme
To improve accessibility of the Alveston Church bus stops on the A38, especially for disabled users.
To install bus boarder kerbs at the Alveston Church southbound stop. This will involve moving the bus stop 60m southwest as there is insufficient room at the current bus stop for bus boarder kerbs to be installed.

Summary of Results
|Marking a consultation as relevant to a particular audience indicates that it may be of special relevance to people within that group. It doesn't, however, mean that other groups wont find the consultation of interest - we welcome responses from everybody.
For example, education issues may be of particular interest to Parents & Guardians, and so will be shown to people searching the system for parenting issues, but the views of others (eg: Business, Faith Groups) are also relevant.
