Yate - Traffic management and sustainable transport measures – Station Road (A432) / Station Road (B4060) / Kennedy Way (A432) / Westerleigh Road, (B & Q roundabout)
In January 2015 the Yate Town Centre Traffic Management and Movement Study identified a number of barriers to efficient movement of pedestrians, cyclists, public transport and general traffic in and around the town centre. South Gloucestershire Council and Yate Town Council identified several transport related issues that were investigated as part of the study.
Purpose of the scheme
Proposals are now planned on the roundabout junction of Station Road (A432), Station Road (B4060), Home Orchard, Kennedy Way (A432), and Westerleigh Road to improve traffic flows and driver understanding of the layout, ease congestion and provide better facilities for pedestrians. This includes new puffin crossings on Westerleigh Road and Kennedy Way, re-design of the road markings on the roundabout and its approaches, provision of new lane guidance signs, and a kerb build out and new informal crossing points across Home Orchard.

|Marking a consultation as relevant to a particular audience indicates that it may be of special relevance to people within that group. It doesn't, however, mean that other groups wont find the consultation of interest - we welcome responses from everybody.
For example, education issues may be of particular interest to Parents & Guardians, and so will be shown to people searching the system for parenting issues, but the views of others (eg: Business, Faith Groups) are also relevant.
