Equality Plan 2019

South Gloucestershire Council’s Equality Plan provides a single high-level document which brings together

    • The council’s commitment to supporting staff and residents with protected characteristics
    • The ways in which it seeks to deliver service outcomes in line with this commitment
    • The ways in which it monitors progress.

The current Equality Plan, which runs from 2015 until 2019 and can be found at:

The council believes that the current Equality Plan is broadly still suitable, though some details need to be amended in order to match changes in policy and legislation.

Marking a consultation as relevant to a particular audience indicates that it may be of special relevance to people within that group. It doesn't, however, mean that other groups wont find the consultation of interest - we welcome responses from everybody.
For example, education issues may be of particular interest to Parents & Guardians, and so will be shown to people searching the system for parenting issues, but the views of others (eg: Business, Faith Groups) are also relevant.
