Emersons Green Waiting Restriction Review - Consultation 2- Westons Brake Area

Funding has been prioritised by the former Kings Forest Area Forum to review the current waiting restrictions in Emerson’s Green, including Folly Brook Road.

Following meetings and site visits with the local Councillors and review of requests received over the last 5 years, it is proposed to modify existing waiting restrictions and introduce new waiting restrictions which include:

  • No waiting at any time (double yellow lines)
  • Limited waiting during prescribed hours

The purpose of the Emersons Green Waiting Restriction Review is to restrict dangerous areas of parking and maintain bus access currently hampered by indiscriminate parking, whilst ensuring that there is adequate parking provision for residents and visitors accessing the local shops and businesses.

The purpose of this consultation is to try and address concerns raised by residents in the previous consultation and to restrict dangerous area of parking without reducing legitimate parking.

The first consultation brought to light some areas that residents felt needed to be included in the proposals, for more information you can read the feedback report which is on the consultation page for the first consultation. The following roads are where additional restrictions have been added to the previous proposals:

  • Wick Wick Close
  • Rushy Way
  • Westons Brake
  • Quarry Way
  • Cynder Way

What is proposed?

It is proposed to cover the junctions and pinch points with double yellow lines, as well as some sections of proposed limited waiting near the park to ensure that parking near the park is not monopolised by individuals and gives the community fair access. Please see plan T309-011-02.1 Westons Brake for more information.

Marking a consultation as relevant to a particular audience indicates that it may be of special relevance to people within that group. It doesn't, however, mean that other groups wont find the consultation of interest - we welcome responses from everybody.
For example, education issues may be of particular interest to Parents & Guardians, and so will be shown to people searching the system for parenting issues, but the views of others (eg: Business, Faith Groups) are also relevant.
Target Audience All residents
