YATE - Industrial Estates Waiting Restrictions Review
Following concerns raised by local businesses within the trading estates, especially where access is required by HGVs, that it is proving difficult and in some cases impossible for large vehicles to gain access to the business premises. There is a demand for parking for staff working in and around the trading estate but a review could identify area where lengths of existing double yellow lines be relaxed and waiting restrictions increased where most needed (for access)..
Funding has been secured in the Capital Programme to carry out a waiting restriction review in the Beeches Industrial Estate, Great Western Business Park, Stover Trading Estate, and Westerleigh Business Park.
Purpose of the Scheme
The purpose of the scheme is to review and amend existing waiting restrictions in the trading estates west of Yate i.e. Great Western Business Park, Stover Trading Estate, Beeches Industrial Estate, and Westerleigh Business Park.
The proposed scheme is to:
- Introduce additional No Waiting at Any time (double yellow lines) waiting restrictions where necessary to assist with access and movement of large goods vehicles through the estates, and to protect existing dropped kerbs.
- Revise limited waiting on North Road to provide access to a residential property.
