Stoke Gifford & Winterbourne - Mulgrove Farm, Hambrook. Consultation on the future of Property.

 

The Council has adopted procedures to ensure that before any decision is taken to release or reallocate property there is a wide circulation of details to its Departments and Members, together with relevant Town/Parish Councils to ensure that any possible Council uses, or uses the Council might wish to support, are identified and examined in detail.

The future of the following property is under consideration:

 Mulgrove Farm, Old Gloucester Road, Hambrook

 This former smallholding consists of the two parcels of land shown hatched in red on the attached plan (approx area 27.326 ac/11.058 ha) 

The land is now severed in two by the line of the Stoke Gifford Transport Link, work on which is due to start this summer. The site is within the East of Harry Stoke New Neighbourhood (EOHSNN), and will undergo comprehensive development in accordance with the Core Strategy and the emerging Master Plan for the area. In anticipation of these planning changes, the land and buildings have been let on a temporary care-taker basis.

 A full public consultation on the development proposals for the EOHSNN will be undertaken by the Planning Department as part of the planning process. Meanwhile, I would like to make you aware of the implications for the Council’s land, and to give you an opportunity to make any comments on the proposals to dispose of the site as part of this process. If no other Council or Council supported use is identified that is consistent with the Core Strategy; it is intended to seek authority to dispose of the land and buildings on terms to be negotiated by Property Services.

This consultation has now closed and we are analysing the results, which will be published here in due course.
