How to comment on the Local Plan Consultation Document


The council is inviting comments on the Local Plan Consultation Document between 5 February and 30 April 2018.

Please do take the opportunity to use our online consultation system to respond, as this ensures that your comments will be dealt with in the most efficient way possible.

Comments can also be submitted by:

  • email to; or
  • by post to: Strategic Planning Policy and Specialist Advice Team, South Gloucestershire Council, Environment and Community Services Department, PO Box 1954, Bristol, BS37 ODD.

We encourage you to use the response form which will help you to capture relevant information that is required for the next stages. Responses by email and letter will of course be accepted. 

Please note all comments only need to be submitted once i.e. either by email or by post.

The information collected as part this consultation will also be used by the Council in accordance with the data protection principles in the Data Protection Act 1998. The purposes for collecting this data is: to assist in plan making; and to contact you, if necessary, regarding the planning consultation process. Some of the data may be made public as it will form part of the evidence base used to inform the creation of planning policy documents. The above purposes may require public disclosure of any data received on the response form, in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
