OLDLAND COMMON - Waiting Restrictions Review
Funding has been secured to review the current waiting restrictions in Oldland Common.
Following meetings with the local Councillors and a review of requests received, it is proposed to modify existing waiting restrictions and introduce new waiting restrictions which include:
- No waiting at any time (double yellow lines)
- Limited waiting
- Bus stop markings
Purpose of the Scheme
To restrict dangerous areas of parking and maintain Bus access currently hampered by indiscriminate parking, whilst ensuring that there is adequate parking provision for residents and visitors accessing the local shops.
To introduce no waiting at any time restrictions (double yellow lines) to cover junctions/accesses and areas where traffic parking can reduce visibility and impact safety. The proposals include the conversion of existing advisory white keep clear markings, to no waiting at any time restrictions. It is also proposed to revise times for limited waiting restrictions on Mill Lane and High Street to allow sufficient access to local shops.

|Marking a consultation as relevant to a particular audience indicates that it may be of special relevance to people within that group. It doesn't, however, mean that other groups wont find the consultation of interest - we welcome responses from everybody.
For example, education issues may be of particular interest to Parents & Guardians, and so will be shown to people searching the system for parenting issues, but the views of others (eg: Business, Faith Groups) are also relevant.
|Target Audience||All residents|
