STOKE GIFFORD - VARIOUS ROADS IN THE PARKWAY STATION AREA - Proposed Amendments to Waiting Restrictions - STATUTORY NOTICE

The Council proposes to make an order introducing waiting restrictions in parts of Church Road, Hambrook Lane, Harry Stoke Road, Highfields Close, Hunts Ground Road, Ratcliffe Drive and the Parkway North Roundabout at Stoke Gifford.

Full details of the proposal, together with a plan, a statement of the Council's reasons for making the order, a copy of the draft order, and any order(s) to be varied or revoked have been deposited at Bradley Stoke Leisure Centre and Library and may be seen free of charge during normal library opening hours.

A report enabling the Executive Councillor to consider objections and comments received in response to the advertisement of the above proposed traffic order was included as a proposed decision in the Schedule No. 38/2011 published on  27 January 2012.  After carefully considering these objections together with the comments the following decision was taken by the Executive Councillor:

To implement the Traffic Regulation Orders for Parkway Station Area Parking Review - Phase 1 as publicly advertised.

Following on from Phase 1, to proceed with Phase 2 of the Parkway Station Area Parking Review.

The Director of Environment and Community Services' report relating to this matter may be viewed online here.  The reasons for the decision are contained in the report.

The order was made on 7 March 2012, to become operative on 20 March 2012 and accordingly, a public notice will appear in the local newspaper shortly after the order is made.

Marking a consultation as relevant to a particular audience indicates that it may be of special relevance to people within that group. It doesn't, however, mean that other groups wont find the consultation of interest - we welcome responses from everybody.
For example, education issues may be of particular interest to Parents & Guardians, and so will be shown to people searching the system for parenting issues, but the views of others (eg: Business, Faith Groups) are also relevant.
