PATCHWAY - Charlton Hayes Estate - Highwood Road area - Proposed Prescribed Movements and Prohibited Right Turn Order - STATUTORY NOTICE

The Council proposes to make an order prescribing routes along which vehicles must proceed and prohibiting vehicles making a right turn from Highwood Road into Callicroft Road.

Full details of the proposal, together with a plan, a statement of the Council's reasons for making the order and a copy of the draft order have been deposited at Patchway Public Library and may be seen free of charge during normal library opening hours.

The statutory period for representation has closed.

The item was considered by the PT&SE Committee on the 20 June 2012.  At this meeting, the item was referred to Council.

On 18 July 2012 the Council resolved to instead introduce an experimental traffic order to allow the implications of the scheme to be fully considered in consultation with the local community.

This order therefore has been abandoned in favour of an Experimental Order to be made in due course.

The Council report on this matter may be viewed online here and the full minute may be viewed here.

Consultation Topic
  • Local highways and transportation projects
  • Transportation planning & policy
Geographical area
  • Patchway
Marking a consultation as relevant to a particular audience indicates that it may be of special relevance to people within that group. It doesn't, however, mean that other groups wont find the consultation of interest - we welcome responses from everybody.
For example, education issues may be of particular interest to Parents & Guardians, and so will be shown to people searching the system for parenting issues, but the views of others (eg: Business, Faith Groups) are also relevant.
Target Audience
  • All residents
  • General public
