The Council proposes to make an order to prohibit the driving of vehicles in lengths ofFrampton End Roadand Tubbs Bottom between Frampton Cotterell, Iron Acton and Mayshill.
Full details of the proposal, together with a plan, a statement of the Council's reasons for making the order and a copy of the draft order have been deposited at Yate Public Library and may be seen free of charge during normal library opening hours.

A report enabling the Frome Vale Area Forum to consider objections and comments received in response to the advertisement of the above proposed traffic order was considered at the meeting held on 28 November 2013.  After carefully considering these objections together with the comments the following decision was taken:

“1         The scheme to close Frampton End Road and Mayshill together with the introduction of a 20 mph speed limit should be implemented as advertised with the additional exemption of horse drawn vehicles

2.         That the Head of Legal Governance and Democratic Services seal the Traffic Regulation Orders for the road closures and 20mph speed limit

3         That the objectors are informed accordingly. “

The order was made on 19 February 2014, to become operative on 16 March 2014 and accordingly, a public notice will appear in the local newspaper shortly.

The report may be seen here.

Consultation Topic
  • Local highways and transportation projects
  • Transportation planning & policy
Geographical area
  • Frampton Cotterell
Marking a consultation as relevant to a particular audience indicates that it may be of special relevance to people within that group. It doesn't, however, mean that other groups wont find the consultation of interest - we welcome responses from everybody.
For example, education issues may be of particular interest to Parents & Guardians, and so will be shown to people searching the system for parenting issues, but the views of others (eg: Business, Faith Groups) are also relevant.
Target Audience
  • All residents
  • General public
