Following the planning permission and informal consultation phase for the North Fringe to Hengrove Metrobus project (shown on the Metrobus project overview plan), the council is now conducting the statutory consultations for Traffic Regulation Orders. The report for the informal consultation can be found here: Orders will be issued individually on the consultation website. This order is part of zone 1 of the scheme.

The Council proposes to make an order to introduce bus lane in lengths of Bradley Stoke Way and Great Stoke Way and a short length of the A38 Gloucester Road at Bradley Stoke. Full details of the proposal, together with a plan, a statement of the Council's reasons for making the order, a copy of the draft order, and any order(s) to be varied or revoked have been deposited at Patchway One Stop Shop and Bradley Stoke Public Library where they may be inspected, free of charge, during normal opening hours.

The statutory period for representation has closed.

The Planning, Environment and Strategic Environment Sub Committee met on 20 March 2015 to consider objections and comments received in response to the advertisement of the above matter. After carefully considering these objections together with the comments the following decision was taken by the Committee:

  1. The proposed TROs for NFHP Zones 1 and 2 should be implemented as advertised
  2. The Head of Legal Governance and Democratic Services should be authorised to seal the TROs for NFHP Zones 1 and 2

The report relating to this matter may be viewed here.

The order was made on 10 August 2106, and will become operative on 21 August 2016. A public notice will appear in the local Press shortly.

Marking a consultation as relevant to a particular audience indicates that it may be of special relevance to people within that group. It doesn't, however, mean that other groups wont find the consultation of interest - we welcome responses from everybody.
For example, education issues may be of particular interest to Parents & Guardians, and so will be shown to people searching the system for parenting issues, but the views of others (eg: Business, Faith Groups) are also relevant.
Target Audience
  • All residents
  • General public
