KINGSWOOD – VARIOUS ROADS, CHIPHOUSE ROAD and SWEETS ROAD area – Proposed Amendments to Waiting Restrictions – STATUTORY NOTICE
The Council proposes to make an order –
- a) prohibiting vehicles waiting at any time in parts of Chiphouse Road, Pool Road, Pound Road, Sweets Close and Sweets Road, and
- b) limiting waiting on in a length of the north side of Sweet Road.
Full details of the proposal, together with a plan, a statement of the Council's reasons for making the order, a copy of the draft order, and any order(s) to be varied or revoked have been deposited at Kingswood One Stop Shop and at Kingswood Public Library and may be inspected, free of charge, during normal opening hours.
The statutory period for representation has closed.
The Director of Environment and Community Services, acting under delegated authority, considered the objections and comments received in response to the advertisement of the above proposed traffic order. After carefully considering these objections together with the comments, Decision ECS20/2017 was taken on 20 April 2017:
- The proposed speed tables and waiting restrictions at the junction of Sweets Road, Chiphouse Road, Pound Road and Pool Road, in Kings Chase and Rodway Wards, should be implemented as advertised with the exception of the following amendments:-
Amend the limited waiting time to Mon-Sat 8am-6pm 3 hours no return within 6 hours.
Introduce an additional 10 metre long limited waiting bay with the same limited waiting times as
above in place of 10 metres of proposed double yellow lines on Pool Road outside the shops.
2. That the Head of Legal Governance and Democratic Services be authorised to seal the Traffic

The order was made on 18 July 2017 and will become operative on 28 August 2017. A public notice will appear in the local Press shortly after the order as made.
