The Council proposes to make an order –

  1. a) prohibiting vehicles waiting at any time and
  2. b) limiting waiting between the hours of 00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. on Monday to Friday (inclusive) to 2 hours, no return within 4 hours -

in lengths of Bushy Leas, East Fields Road, Little Stoney Leas, Long Down Avenue, Platts Wood, Tinding Drive and Wood Mead, Stoke Gifford. 

Full details of the proposal, together with a plan, a statement of the Council's reasons for making the order, a copy of the draft order, and any order(s) to be varied or revoked have been deposited at Filton Public Library where they may be inspected, free of charge, during normal library opening hours.

The statutory period for representation has closed.  

The Director of Environment and Community Services, acting under delegated authority, considered the objections and comments received in response to the advertisement of the above matter. After carefully considering these objections together with the comments, Decision ECS34/2017 was taken on 6 July 2017 -

"1         Both the local members and officers see value in progressing the proposed restrictions. It is therefore recommended that the proposed waiting restrictions in The Bowery and Wood Mead area should be implemented as advertised.

  1. That the Head of Legal Governance and Democratic Services be authorised to seal the Traffic Regulation Orders.
  2. That the objectors are informed accordingly.

The order is to be made on 25 July 2017, and will become operative on 29 August 2017. A public notice will appear in the local Press shortly
