BROOKFIELD WALK, BROOKLEA, CALIFORNIA ROAD (part), CHERRY GARDEN LANE, CHERRY WOOD, COURT ROAD, FAIRWAY CLOSE, GLENWOOD DRIVE, HENFIELD CRESCENT, HIGHFIELD GARDENS, HIGHLEAZE ROAD, HILLVIEW CLOSE, LODGE DRIVE, KENILWORTH DRIVE (part), MEADOW COURT DRIVE, OAKLANDS DRIVE, OAKLEIGH GARDENS, ST ANNES DRIVE, ST HELENS DRIVE, SCHOOL ROAD, THE CROFT, TUDOR CLOSE, WESTCOURT DRIVE, WESTLAND AVENUE, WARWICK CLOSE, WINCROFT and WITHINGTON CLOSE

Full details of the proposal, together with a plan, a statement of the Council's reasons for making the order, a copy of the draft order, and any order(s) to be varied or revoked have been deposited at Cadbury Heath Public Library and at Kingswood One Stop Shop where they may be inspected, free of charge, during normal opening hours.

On 23 August 2017 the Director of Environment, Planning and Community Services acting under Delegated Authority considered the objections and comments received in response to the advertisement of the above proposed traffic order. After carefully considering these objections together with the comments the following decision was taken:

  1. Both the local member and officers see value in progressing the proposed speed limits. It is therefore recommended that the proposed 20mph speed limit in the vicinity of Cherry Garden and St Anne’s Schools should be implemented as advertised.
  2. That the Head of Legal Governance and Democratic Services be authorised to seal the Traffic Regulation Orders.
  3. That the objectors are informed accordingly.

The Director of Environment and Community Services Decision relating to this matter may viewed online at www.southglos.gov.uk. The reasons for the decision are contained in the Director’s Report, a copy of which may be obtained by contacting 01454 865811.

The order is to be made on 13 November 2017, to become operative on 20 November 2017 . A public notice will appear in the local newspaper shortly after the order is made.
