EMERSONS GREEN - Application to extinguish part width of public footpath PMR 29 at Lansdown Place - INFORMAL CONSULTATION

The Council has received an application under the Highways Act 1980 to extinguish part the width of public right of way footpath PMR 29 at Lansdown Place, Emersons Green.  Following development which has increased the number of properties at Lansdown Place, the applicants seek to reduce the width of the path so that the additional land can be used for parking.

The Public Rights of Way and Commons Registration Sub-Committee at the meeting held on 21st June 2018 considered the report relating to the above matter and resolved:

“(1)         That the Head of Legal and Democratic Services be authorised to make and advertise a Public Path Extinguishment Order in respect of that width and length of PMR 29 at Lansdown Place, Emersons Green, as shown on the plan attached as Appendix 1 to the report in the agenda papers, and, if no objections are received, be authorised to confirm the order, and

(2)          If any objections are received consequent upon the formal advertisement of the order a further report be submitted to the Sub-Committee for consideration.”

In due course the order will be made and notices served and published in accordance with the statutory requirements.

Marking a consultation as relevant to a particular audience indicates that it may be of special relevance to people within that group. It doesn't, however, mean that other groups wont find the consultation of interest - we welcome responses from everybody.
For example, education issues may be of particular interest to Parents & Guardians, and so will be shown to people searching the system for parenting issues, but the views of others (eg: Business, Faith Groups) are also relevant.
Target Audience All residents, General public
