FILTON - A4174 STATION ROAD - Proposed replacement Toucan crossing - STATUTORY NOTICE

The Council proposes to replace the existing crossing across A4174 Station Road, Filton, east of its junction with Shellard Road with a new Toucan crossing.

Full details of the proposal, together with a plan and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to install the measures can be seen in the documents section below and have also been deposited at Patchway One Stop Shop and at Filton Public Library and may be seen free of charge during normal opening hours.

On 19 March 2019 the Director of Environment, Planning and Community Services acting under Delegated Authority considered the objections and comments received in response to the advertisement of the above proposed traffic order. After carefully considering these objections together with the comments the following decision was taken:

  1. Officers see value in progressing the proposed crossing. It is therefore recommended that the proposed pedestrian crossing should be implemented as advertised.
  2. That the objectors are informed accordingly.

.The Director of Environment and Community Services Decision relating to this matter may viewed online at www.southglos.gov.uk. The reasons for the decision are contained in the Director’s Report, a copy of which may be obtained by contacting 01454 868004.

Accordingly the measures will be put in place as soon as practicable.

Marking a consultation as relevant to a particular audience indicates that it may be of special relevance to people within that group. It doesn't, however, mean that other groups wont find the consultation of interest - we welcome responses from everybody.
For example, education issues may be of particular interest to Parents & Guardians, and so will be shown to people searching the system for parenting issues, but the views of others (eg: Business, Faith Groups) are also relevant.
