WINTERBOURNE - Application to extinguish an unrecorded path between Green Dragon Road and public footpath LWB 57 - INFORMAL CONSULTATION

South Gloucestershire Council has received an application under the Highways Act 1980 to extinguish an unrecorded path which crosses land in front of the Scout Hut on Green Dragon Road and which links to recorded public footpath LWB 57.  The Scout Group wish to create a larger secure space for their activities and as there is an alternative footpath (LWB 57) across this land, they wish to stop up the unrecorded one.

This informal consultation has now closed. Any comments received have now been forwarded to the Head of Environment and Community Services (Public Rights of Way Team) for consideration. In due course this matter will be reported to the Public Rights of Way and Commons Registration Sub Committee for decision as to whether or not an order should be made.

Marking a consultation as relevant to a particular audience indicates that it may be of special relevance to people within that group. It doesn't, however, mean that other groups wont find the consultation of interest - we welcome responses from everybody.
For example, education issues may be of particular interest to Parents & Guardians, and so will be shown to people searching the system for parenting issues, but the views of others (eg: Business, Faith Groups) are also relevant.

  • All residents
  • General public
