The Council proposes to install a road hump in the form of a speed table in B4465 Westerleigh Road, Pucklechurch, centred at a point 104 metres south west of its junction with Castle Road.

Full details of the proposal, together with a plan and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to install the measures can be seen in the documents section and have also been deposited at Kingswood One Stop Shop and may be seen free of charge during normal opening hours.

On 20 February 2020 the Director of Environment and Community Services acting under Delegated Authority considered the objections and comments received in response to the advertisement of the above proposed traffic order. After carefully considering these objections together with the comments the following decision was taken:

  1. Both the local members and officers see value in progressing the proposed speed table. It is therefore recommended that the proposed speed table on Westerleigh Road, Pucklechurch should be implemented as advertised.
  2. That signs are rationalised
  3. That the objectors are informed accordingly.

The Director of Environment and Community Services Decision relating to this matter may viewed online at www.southglos.gov.uk. The reasons for the decision are contained in the Director’s Report, a copy of which may be obtained by contacting 01454 868004.  It is anticipated the measures will be installed during April 2020.

Marking a consultation as relevant to a particular audience indicates that it may be of special relevance to people within that group. It doesn't, however, mean that other groups wont find the consultation of interest - we welcome responses from everybody.
For example, education issues may be of particular interest to Parents & Guardians, and so will be shown to people searching the system for parenting issues, but the views of others (eg: Business, Faith Groups) are also relevant.
