Statutory Objection Period - South Gloucestershire Council (Footpath LSG 22 at University of the West of England, Stoke Gifford) Public Path Diversion Order 2020

The Council made the order on 15 July 2020. The effect of the order will be to divert a length of public footpath LSG 22 running from Point A (grid reference ST 6188 7813) near the Bristol Business School running south eastwards direction for 68 metres and then generally southwards alongside UWE Road for 207 metres to Point B (grid reference ST 6196 7789) where it meets Long Mead. Shown by a bold black line marked A - B on the order map to a new line running from the said Point A west south westwards then south westwards for 82 metres passing the Student Union building to Point C (grid reference ST 6184 7807) where it crosses a campus road and continues south south eastwards on a surfaced pathway for 120 metres to Point D (grid reference ST 6186 7795) then south eastwards for 87 metres then south south eastwards 19 metres where it meets Long Mead and then runs eastwards alongside the road for 15 metres to Point B (grid reference ST 6196 7789). Having a width throughout of 2 metres and shown by a bold broken line marked A – C – D – B on the order map contained.

Any representation about or objection to the order may be sent or delivered in writing addressed to the Head of Legal and Democratic Services at PO Box 1953, Bristol, BS37 0DB

quoting reference L3/LT/STOR/PT.6526 not later than 28 August 2020. Please state the grounds on which it is made.  Please note that all representations received may be considered in public by the Council and that the substance of any representation together with the name and address of the person making it could become available for public inspection.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, South Gloucestershire District Council may itself confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
