The Council proposes to install a road hump in the form of a speed table on Hambrook Lane and Thornmarsh Close, Stoke Gifford.

If you would like to see full details of the proposal, a map and a statement of the Council's reasons for introducing the measures, you may do so by viewing the documents section of this consultation.

Due to the Covid-19 emergency restrictions, these documents cannot be placed on deposit at any public building.

On 12 October 2020 the Director of Environment and Community Services acting under Delegated Authority considered the objections and comments received in response to the advertisement of the above proposed traffic order. After carefully considering these objections together with the comments the following decision was taken:

  1. That the objection be overruled and that the proposal to introduce the speed table be approved.
  2. That the objector is informed accordingly.
  3. That the Head of Legal Governance and Democratic Services be authorised to undertake the legal process to introduce the speed table in Hambrook Lane.

The Director of Environment and Community Services Decision relating to this matter may viewed in the documents section of this consultation. The measures will be installed in due course.

Marking a consultation as relevant to a particular audience indicates that it may be of special relevance to people within that group. It doesn't, however, mean that other groups wont find the consultation of interest - we welcome responses from everybody.
For example, education issues may be of particular interest to Parents & Guardians, and so will be shown to people searching the system for parenting issues, but the views of others (eg: Business, Faith Groups) are also relevant.
