STOKE GIFFORD - Parkway Station area - Review of waiting restrictions - phase 2

Following the recent consultation for waiting restrictions in the Parkway Station area, four further locations remained to be considered for waiting restrictions to address concerns relating to commuter parking in New Road, Swallows Court, Brins Close, Beaufort Crescent, John St Quinton Close, and Church Road. These areas have been combined for consideration in this stage of the parking review.

The main purpose of the scheme is to discourage all day parking by rail users and students in residential areas, particularly where this causes safety or access issues, whilst at the same time minimising the effect of waiting restrictions on residents.

The proposals include;

New Road & Swallows Court - No waiting at any time (Double yellow lines) restrictions on New Road for its entire length adjacent to the educational establishments,

School Keep Clear restrictions at various locations on New Road.

Permit parking Monday to Saturday, 11am to noon and 2pm to 3pm, in the residential areas at the northern end of New Road and Swallows Court.

Brins Close - Restricted Parking Zone, No waiting by any vehicle during the following times - Monday to Friday, 1pm to 2pm.

Beaufort Crescent - No waiting at any time (Double yellow lines) on the bend adjacent to No.22 and one length of Limited Waiting, Monday to Friday, 1pm to 2pm. in Beaufort Crescent adjacent to number 22.

John St Quinton Close - No waiting at any time restrictions (Double yellow lines) adjacent to numbers 3 and 15.

Church Road – Properties within Terris Court to be included within the existing permit scheme, and eligible to apply for permits.

Marking a consultation as relevant to a particular audience indicates that it may be of special relevance to people within that group. It doesn't, however, mean that other groups wont find the consultation of interest - we welcome responses from everybody.
For example, education issues may be of particular interest to Parents & Guardians, and so will be shown to people searching the system for parenting issues, but the views of others (eg: Business, Faith Groups) are also relevant.

  • General public
