Rangeworthy - New Road Proposed 30mph Speed Limit
Concerns have been raised by Rangeworthy Parish Council about the appropriateness of the speed limit on Wickwar Road between New Road and Old Wood Lane. It is a narrow rural lane with no footway for pedestrians and is used by villagers with children and dogs to access Old Wood Lane.
The Parish Council have requested that the speed limit be reduced to 30mph.
Speed monitoring recorded average speeds of 30.3mph, which supports the introduction of a 30mph speed limit.
The purpose of the scheme is to introduce a realistic speed limit for the road and encourage those travelling at above the current average speed to reduce their speed. This should make the route more attractive for walking and cycling.
The proposed scheme is to reduce the speed limit from derestricted (60 mph) to 30 mph in Wickwar Road between New Road and Old Wood Lane.

Summary of Results
|Marking a consultation as relevant to a particular audience indicates that it may be of special relevance to people within that group. It doesn't, however, mean that other groups wont find the consultation of interest - we welcome responses from everybody.
For example, education issues may be of particular interest to Parents & Guardians, and so will be shown to people searching the system for parenting issues, but the views of others (eg: Business, Faith Groups) are also relevant.
