Funding has been included in the 2019-20 Capital Programme to review the current waiting restrictions in Stoke Lodge & the Common Parish.

Based on issues previously raised by Councillors and residents, it is proposed to modify existing waiting restrictions and introduce new waiting restrictions which include - No waiting at any time restrictions (double yellow lines).

This second consultation is being undertaken as a result of comments received during the initial consultation. The comments received asked for restrictions in roads not covered by the first consultation.

Purpose of the scheme

The purpose of this scheme is to restrict dangerous and obstructive areas of parking whilst ensuring that there is adequate parking provision for residents and visitors.

Proposed scheme

It is proposed to introduce no waiting at any time restrictions (double yellow lines) to cover junctions/accesses and areas where traffic parking can reduce visibility, impact safety or cause obstruction. The proposals include the conversion of existing advisory white keep clear markings, to no waiting at any time restrictions.

The following roads will be affected: Cranham Drive, Standish Avenue, Staverton Close and Stokemead

Marking a consultation as relevant to a particular audience indicates that it may be of special relevance to people within that group. It doesn't, however, mean that other groups wont find the consultation of interest - we welcome responses from everybody.
For example, education issues may be of particular interest to Parents & Guardians, and so will be shown to people searching the system for parenting issues, but the views of others (eg: Business, Faith Groups) are also relevant.
