LYDE GREEN - Thistle Close – Waiting Restrictions

Parking and access issues originate from development of new Sainsbury’s store. South Gloucestershire Council Planning Officer requested that funding be made available to look into the issue. The scheme entered onto Local Transport Priority List in January 2019, with funding only now becoming available.

Purpose of Scheme

The purpose of the scheme is to remove obstructive and inappropriate parking i.e. on junctions and narrow sections of roads, through the use of waiting restrictions to prevent visibility and access issues. This should improve safety for residents and traffic in general.

Proposed Scheme

To implement new waiting restrictions in area around Thistle Close, Lyde Green to improve access to supermarket and local residential properties.

Marking a consultation as relevant to a particular audience indicates that it may be of special relevance to people within that group. It doesn't, however, mean that other groups wont find the consultation of interest - we welcome responses from everybody.
For example, education issues may be of particular interest to Parents & Guardians, and so will be shown to people searching the system for parenting issues, but the views of others (eg: Business, Faith Groups) are also relevant.
