Charfield - B4058 Charfield Hill


In 2001 a scheme was proposed to improve existing cycle facilities on Charfield Hill, Charfield, funding has been allocated within the Council's 2009/10 capital programme budget to construct the scheme.

Purpose of Scheme

To improve cycle facilities on the B4058 at Charfield Hill, Charfield.

Proposed Scheme

It is proposed to extend the existing westbound off-carriageway facilities and install an on-carriageway advisory cycle lane to the top of the hill.

Drawing number 730373-04 shows the proposed speed limit changes.


The proposed scheme is programmed for consultation and public advertisement by spring 2010.   Subject to the outcomes of the consultation exercise and public advertisement the proposals are to be implemented by the end of this financial year.
