Craven Way, Barrs Court – review of traffic calming features and implementation of revised scheme
Priority kerb build outs are located at two points along Craven Way - south of Lacock Drive, (single), and north of Howes Close, (double). A scheme to investigate the removal of the build outs was selected by Members at the Kings Forest Area Forum in February 2014. In addition, a petition was received by South Gloucestershire Council in September 2014 calling for the removal of the build outs and the introduction of new measures including speed tables and improved pedestrian crossing facilities.
South Gloucestershire Council is now proposing to remove the existing build outs and construct six full width speed tables and an improved pedestrian refuge close to the junction with Tower Lane. New low energy street lighting will also be introduced in the existing lamp column positions - to ensure visibility of the proposed speed tables.

|Marking a consultation as relevant to a particular audience indicates that it may be of special relevance to people within that group. It doesn't, however, mean that other groups wont find the consultation of interest - we welcome responses from everybody.
For example, education issues may be of particular interest to Parents & Guardians, and so will be shown to people searching the system for parenting issues, but the views of others (eg: Business, Faith Groups) are also relevant.
