Kendleshire - A432 Badminton Road/ Ruffet Road
The rural lanes within the Henfield area, bounded by the A432 Badminton Road, B4465 and the Avon Ring Road, suffer from significant levels of traffic seeking to avoid the Ring Road. Local residents have raised concerns about the speed and the volume of traffic using these lanes. In the light of this, a scheme known as the 'Henfield Quiet Lanes' has been developed since 2004 to reduce the problems faced by vulnerable road users in the area.
At previous stages of the scheme, speed restrictions and gateway entry treatments (features highlighting the entrance to a more rural area where drivers are expected to adopt a different style of driving) have been implemented.
This phase of the scheme will involve implementation of an entry gateway treatment at the A432 Badminton Road/ Ruffet Road junction, Kendleshire.
Full details of the scheme proposals can be found in the 'Consultation Document' section below.
We would welcome any comments that you may have on the proposals by Friday 27 January 2012.
This consultation has now closed and we are analysing the results which will be published here in due course.

|Marking a consultation as relevant to a particular audience indicates that it may be of special relevance to people within that group. It doesn't, however, mean that other groups wont find the consultation of interest - we welcome responses from everybody.
For example, education issues may be of particular interest to Parents & Guardians, and so will be shown to people searching the system for parenting issues, but the views of others (eg: Business, Faith Groups) are also relevant.
