Proposed 50mph speed limit on A46 through Petty France & Dunkirk.

Someone filling in a questionnaire
The Council's accident database shows that thirteen injury accidents have occurred on the length of the A46 through Petty France and Dunkirk in the period from 1 January 1998 to 31 December 2001. Two of these accidents were fatal, four were serious and seven were slight.
The proportion of fatal and serious accidents on this length of the A46 (46%) is significantly higher than the average for South Gloucestershire as a whole (12%). This is an indication of high vehicle speeds.
In view of this accident record the Council is proposing to introduce a 50mph speed limit on this length of the A46, as part of other works already taking place. The new speed limit would extend from just north of the A433 junction southwards to the left-hand bend for northbound traffic on the approach to Petty France.

For example, education issues may be of particular interest to Parents & Guardians, and so will be shown to people searching the system for parenting issues, but the views of others (eg: Business, Faith Groups) are also relevant.
