Patch Elm Lane (Rangeworthy) Community Governance Review
The council is currently carrying out a review of the way decisions are made on local issues in your area, and wants to hear your views. This process, called a ‘community governance review’ will look at whether a change should be made to the parish boundaries between Rangeworthy and Iron Acton.
Why are we carrying out the review now?
We have received a request asking for a change to be made to the boundary between Iron Acton and Rangeworthy parishes so that all properties in Patch Elm Lane are in Rangeworthy parish.
Who are we consulting?
A letter has sent to all affected residents. In addition to residents we are consulting South Gloucestershire district councillors and the parish councils.
What is the current situation?
Patch Elm Lane is currently divided between the parishes of Iron Acton and Rangeworthy. There are several properties that are on the Iron Acton side of the boundary.
What are the possibilities?
There are two possible outcomes of this review. They are:
- The boundary is changed
This would mean that the affected area would become part of Rangeworthy parish.
- No change – status quo
This would mean that the area would remain as part of Iron Acton parish.
A map showing the current boundary and also the proposed new boundary is included in the consultation letter.
What happens next?
When we have had an opportunity to consider all the responses we receive to this consultation, the council will decide what to do next based on the results. Any amendments made to the boundary would take effect from the local elections in May 2015.

|Marking a consultation as relevant to a particular audience indicates that it may be of special relevance to people within that group. It doesn't, however, mean that other groups wont find the consultation of interest - we welcome responses from everybody.
For example, education issues may be of particular interest to Parents & Guardians, and so will be shown to people searching the system for parenting issues, but the views of others (eg: Business, Faith Groups) are also relevant.
