|Staying Put Policy Featured
For a number of young people it will be in their interest to remain in their foster placement after they turn 18 under a Staying Put Arrangement. The local authority has a legal duty to enable young people to remain in their previous foster placement post 18 years of age should they chose to do so. The local authority also has a duty to support foster carers including the provision of financial support. This policy sets out how the Staying Put Policy will be implemented and the financial support available to carers.
