East of Harry Stoke New Neighbourhood Draft Supplementary Planning Document
Public consultation in accordance with Regulations 12 & 13 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012 and Regulation 13 of the Environmental Assessment of Plans & Programmes Regulations 2004

The Council has identified land to the East of Harry Stoke for mixed use development to deliver its strategic housing needs up to 2027. This ‘New Neighbourhood’ is identified in the Council’s emerging strategic planning document, the Core Strategy, which was subject to independent examination earlier in 2012.

South Gloucestershire Council is now undertaking public consultation on a draft Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) for this New Neighbourhood between Monday 26 November 2012 and Friday 1 February 2013.

Comments received will inform the production of the final Supplementary Planning Document for the East of Harry Stoke New Neighbourhood, which is anticipated to be adopted by the Council in early 2013, following the adoption of the Council’s Core Strategy document.

Once adopted, the SPD will set out the design principles the Council will use in determining any planning applications for the New Neighbourhood and they will identify the infrastructure required to support the needs of the new communities living there.

Consultation Topic
  • Planning policy & strategy
Marking a consultation as relevant to a particular audience indicates that it may be of special relevance to people within that group. It doesn't, however, mean that other groups wont find the consultation of interest - we welcome responses from everybody.
For example, education issues may be of particular interest to Parents & Guardians, and so will be shown to people searching the system for parenting issues, but the views of others (eg: Business, Faith Groups) are also relevant.
